Have a plan and a system for storing contact data. Score one star for each storage or contact mechanism below, with a goal of having at least four stars per contact:
• Business card file (hard copy, digital, or both)
• Contact or data management program (and yes, this means you’ve installed it and used it – not just bought it or downloaded it but never actually put any contacts in it)
• On your cell phone – name, numbers, and photo if possible
• Friend/follower list on social media
• Each contact’s data is checked and updated at least annually
