Plantation Builders in Brunswick Forest! Pre-Parade of Homes Party

David Spetrino's Plantation Builders has started selling homes in the Shelmore "village" area of Brunswick Forest. Like the other homes in Shelmore Plantation Builder's models have front porches, picket fences, and rear garages with small yards. The model below, where the party was, just went under contract but they're ready to build more.

If you're not familiar with Plantation Builders and the style, type, and quality work that David's company provides, you're in for a treat. Much of the company's work is in downtown Wilmington and the surrounding area. They build custom homes and condos and in the downtown area often do stunning restoration/renovation construction. That's David in the white shirt and tie in the photo below.

You'll really have to see the model to get a sense of how much living and storage space is provided in this seemingly "small" home. We were shaking our heads as we went from room to room and, particularly on the second floor, in the amazingly ample walk-in storage. With the various configuration options in these homes you can never say you don't have enough storage.

So when you get a chance, stop by Plantation Builders' Parade of Homes entry in Brunswick Forest this weekend or, if it's sometime later and you're looking to buy a great new home with incredible storage, fine finish details, and family-friendly living spaces, all in a super new neighborhood in the an amenity-packed community in the greater Wilmington area, call me. I'd love to take you to see it.

Great job, David, that house is fabulous.

Paradise Italian Ice in Leland, NC - Ribbon Cutting

Davida Long and her family recently opened Paradise Italian Ice on Reed Road in Leland, in the shopping plaza off Mount Misery Road just north of 74-76. They joined the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce so naturally we showed up for a festive ribbon cutting!

The colorfully painted and festively decorated interior makes Paradise Italian Ice fun to visit.

Side by Side Duo - Dancing at the NBCC Ribbon-Cutting

Okay, so turn it up, sit back, and see the evidence once again of how much fun we have in North Brunswick County, North Carolina.

We had a ribbon-cutting at the Chamber of Commerce offices. No big deal, right? Nuh-uh! For us that means it's time to PAR-TEEE! Of course it helped that the business for whom we were having the ribbon-cutting was Kathy and Jack Henderson's "Side by Side" live music duo, AND that they provided the entertainment.

We had a great time, the music was fine, and Kathy and Jack are great additions to our chamber and our community. So welcome, y'all.

NBCC Volunteers Alice Razzano and Mike Hoyt and Linda Cline of Coldwell Banker Sea coast Realty got the best seats to watch and listen. (Linda, btw, knew Kathy and Jack from years ago and was the person who introduced them to Leland and the Wilmington area.)

BNI Business Attractors Meeting - 11-18-09

We had another lively meeting of the Leland BNI Business Attractors. We started by playing Frisbee and ended with a drawing. Oh yeah, and had some good networking, an interesting presentation by Aflac's Mimi Kronkowski, and guest Scott Schmidt. A bunch of strong referrals were given as well. Good meeting, folks.

Pepper's Morning at the Brunswick Forest Dog Park

Pepper and a passle of other dogs had a great time at Brunswick Forest's Dog Park this morning. Pepper, a Giant Schnauzer who weighs just about 100 pounds was probably the largest and heaviest dog there. A pair of 4 pound Yorkshire Terriers and a Chihuahua were the smallest, with some German Shepards, a Lab or two, several mixed breed dogs, and a feisty Cairn Terrier.

Many of the dogs met for the first time and they all got along. It was a nice time and today was a perfect day for it. In the first photo below part of group all ran to the gate to greet a newcomer. The rest of the photos are without captions, but the message of dogs at play is clear.
