Yesterday at the North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce we had a ribbon-cutting for the Toys for Tots program in Leland. This program, in conjunction with the Leland Police Department and the US Marine Corps collects new, unwrapped toys for children each Christmas.
At the ribbon cutting the Leland Police were there, representatives from the Marine Corps, the North Brunswick High School band, and of course the NBCC. We also had a visit from a jolly guy with a red suit and a big white beard.
Here's the assembled group getting ready to cut the ribbon.
The band members played before the ceremony.
And NBCC Executive Director Terry Grillo joined the band, but she didn't sing.
NBCC Board Member Mike Leggett of the Leland News Reporter.
NBCC Ambassador Joyce Throop took lots of photos.
Our bookkeeper supreme Terri Andress (she's such a deer) and Band Director Mark Riel.
Santa arrived in plenty of time.
Santa and the Marines. The Marine in camo is Jessica Beaubrun and the Marine in dress blues is Sgt. Ricardez.

Add an elf.
Just so you can be sure the ribbon was actually cut.

We're really proud of the Leland Police Department and the USMC and the Toys for Tots program and glad we could have a ribbon-cutting for them.
