Forest View Editorial Meeting

This Tuesday an enthusiastic group of Brunswick Forest residents gathered at the Port City Java in front of the Leland Community to discuss editorial content of the next issue of N2 Publishing's Forest View, a monthly publication written by Brunswick Forest residents for the people who live in the community.

N2 Publishing's Steve West, the area director for the company, ran the meeting and provided coffee and muffins for the group. Thanks, Steve, we're looking forward to the next issue.

Cape Fear National Golf Course at Brunswick Forest

On Thursday Operations Manager Chad Anderson and Sales and Marketing Manager Brad Walker gave Attorney Randy Rhodes, North Brunswick Chamber of Commerce President George Murray of Murray Art & Frame, and myself a tour of the soon-to-be-opened Cape Fear National golf course in Brunswick Forest.

This gorgeous course designed by Tim Cate, will open on October 1st this year. The NBCC will be sponsoring one of the first tournaments held on the course on November 5th to benefit Leland Unity Group's Christmas Festival and Parade.

As anyone can see from the photographs below (which look even better if you click on them to see them full size), the natural landscaping and added elements on and around the course are just plain beautiful. As experienced golfers can tell (that would NOT include me), this will be an interesting but very challenging course.

For more information about playing in the tournament, about sponsoring a team, or other sponsorship opportunities for this high visibility event, please contact me, Bruce Brown, at (910)297-8753 or e-mail brucerbrown@yahoo.com.

Concert in the Park at Brunswick Forest

We had a great turnout at the first Concert on the Park in Brunswick Forest. Featuring Wilmington, NC area Beatles and 60s cover band The Backbeats, this is the first of three scheduled concerts. The concerts are being held at Annsdale Park, located in the center of the currently built out residential neighborhoods of Brunswick Forest.

The band played under a tent,

while the crowd, estimated at over 800, spread out over Annsdale Park's 12 acres

Under a beautiful North Carolina evening sky, the band played on.
