Thirty years after the first Riverfest in 1979, the 2008 version is in progress this weekend with 160 craft vendors, 25 food concessions (it seems like 200), and a slew of entertainment. The official Riverfest website has the schedule of entertainment, contests, special exhibits, and appearances. Lots to do, lots to see, and plenty of people to do and see it with. We even found parking in a normal space on Front Street (admittedly after driving around for ten minutes). Antique cars shows, live entertainment, wake board, BMX, and skateboarding contests, and the beautiful weather of early October make this a great time. If you didn't make it on Friday or Saturday, Sunday's the last day so come on down.
