Plantation Builders in Brunswick Forest! Pre-Parade of Homes Party

David Spetrino's Plantation Builders has started selling homes in the Shelmore "village" area of Brunswick Forest. Like the other homes in Shelmore Plantation Builder's models have front porches, picket fences, and rear garages with small yards. The model below, where the party was, just went under contract but they're ready to build more.

If you're not familiar with Plantation Builders and the style, type, and quality work that David's company provides, you're in for a treat. Much of the company's work is in downtown Wilmington and the surrounding area. They build custom homes and condos and in the downtown area often do stunning restoration/renovation construction. That's David in the white shirt and tie in the photo below.

You'll really have to see the model to get a sense of how much living and storage space is provided in this seemingly "small" home. We were shaking our heads as we went from room to room and, particularly on the second floor, in the amazingly ample walk-in storage. With the various configuration options in these homes you can never say you don't have enough storage.

So when you get a chance, stop by Plantation Builders' Parade of Homes entry in Brunswick Forest this weekend or, if it's sometime later and you're looking to buy a great new home with incredible storage, fine finish details, and family-friendly living spaces, all in a super new neighborhood in the an amenity-packed community in the greater Wilmington area, call me. I'd love to take you to see it.

Great job, David, that house is fabulous.

Shelmore Village in Brunswick Forest

I stopped by Shelmore Village in Brunswick Forest late yesterday afternoon. This craftsman-style village-like neighborhood consists exclusively of single family homes with front porches, white picket fences, entry arbors, back-of-the-house garages and very cute designs. The current 9 models range in size from just over 2,000 square feet to a bit more than 2,800 square feet, with some new floorplans in the works that are somewhat smaller to meet buyer demand and interest.

When you drive, or better, walk thru the Shelmore area it's a pleasant trip back in time to a friendly neighborhood where everyone hung out. Can you imagine yourself swinging on the front porch waving to your neighbors?

The inside of the five decorated Shelmore models (there were six but a buyer wanted it so badly they took it off the model list) are unique, each with an appealing layout and flow. They're priced in the mid to high $300's and offer a super buy in the ever-hot, amenity-rich Brunswick Forest.

If you'd like to tour Shelmore, other Brunswick Forest neighborhoods, or other fine Leland communities, I'd be honored to represent you. Please call me at (910) 297-8753 or e-mail brucebrown@seacoastrealty.com.

Cool modern twist on an old-timey style 'hood - Shelmore in Brunswick Forest

There's a cool new village called Shelmore in the gigundo planned development Brunswick Forest in Leland, North Carolina. There are 18 floor plans available with at least 3 possible elevations for each. Right now there are 6 furnished models to tour.

All Shelmore homes will be Craftsman style with front porches with swings, rear entry garages, white picket fences with entry arbors. Very much a turn-of-the-last-century small town look. Prices are in the high $300s to mid $400s. As usual for Brunswick Forest neighborhoods most everything one would want is standard (granite, stainless steel appliances, lots of crown molding and cool woodwork, hardwood in living areas, tile in baths, carpet in bedrooms, tile showers . . . it goes on and on.

I rode out to Shelmore yesterday on my bicycle to see what was happening during the first weekend it was open to the public. Plenty of pleased and interested people were there looking around, drinking lemonade, and dancing the shag under a special tent.

Check out these photos of street views of Shelmore. Looks like it's going to be a very cool place to live and still have access to all the Brunswick Forest amenities.

Of course, if you'd like a personal tour, please give me a call. I'm a REALTOR, after all, and that's what I do. I'm nuts about Leland, North Carolina as a place to live, work, and play.
