This is my record of progress for 2011. I started using Beachbody's Shakeology as a meal replacement for lunch on January 20th. For the next 100 days I did minimal exercise, 30 minutes twice a week plus walking. Then on May 1st I started my first round of Tony Horton's P90X.
I've made good progress and I'm a happy camper. Not only have I lost weight and body fat, I had an unexpected positive change when my doctor took me off cholesterol and blood pressure prescriptions I'd been on for 10-12 years.
My overall year goals are ambitious, but that's what goals are for, right? I'd like to keep my weight roughly where it is now, but get my body fat ratio (which currently fluctuates between 13-14%) down to 10%. That change will mean losing about 6 more pounds of body fat and gaining the same amount in muscle.
Sounds like a plan to me.
